2012 SALA Festival

SALA is recognised as the largest and most innovative community based visual arts festival in Australia. It is an expanding fusion of visual art, food, wine, culture and tourism, attracting audiences in excess of 400,000 people.
This free festival captivates South Australia for 24 days, 3- 26 August.
This year the SALA Festival features over 3,400 amateur, emerging and established visual artists exhibiting across 519 restaurants, wineries, cafe’s, galleries and many other unique and creative spaces throughout South Australia. It will showcase multiple and mixed mediums including photography, painting, digital media, glass, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and more.
SALA provides unique and intimate audience and artist experiences through a variety of open studios, workshops, walking, cycling tours and artist talks and has been recognised as making a significant contribution to South Australians reputation, image and profile as a culturally-rich place to live and visit.
