Stormie Mills | Dark Lights
Posted: 07 Jul 2012
Stormie uses enigmatic characters in popular culture like Dracula to explore the idea that a "villain" in society can still possess a captivating human quality when the light is shined within. Throughout history both good and bad have shaped the fabric of society and in Dark Lights, Stormie challenges us to see the good in the dark side of people.
With a career spanning more than 20 years, Stormie Mills has been cited as one of Australia's most collectable street artists. Having the success of sell out shows on both sides of the country and travelling the world producing large scale commissions, he’s transformed concrete landscapes in Barcelona, Greece, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Tokyo. Most recently, Stormie has returned from speaking at the agIdeas Design Conference in Melbourne. This is one of the world's most prestigious design forums chaired by trademark Guru, Ken Cato, where Stormie was one of 40 international speakers to present his life and work to an audience of 2,600 design industry creatives.
